Maryland Eastern Shore Housing Market Still Lags

The Daily Times had an article today about the our local Worcester County, Ocean City Maryland area real estate market:

“The Lower Shore real estate market, plagued by an oversupply of homes and condos for sale, is recovering slower than other markets nationwide.

“I want to be able to say something good about the real estate market as much as the next person, but we’re just not seeing it yet,” said Bill McCain, owner and president of W.R. McCain Associates, a regional appraisal firm.

The market peaked more than four years ago, but there are still about twice as many houses for sale than there are buyers on the Lower Shore and Sussex County, he said.”
